Advanced forecasting with WeatherNext models

AI is bringing faster, more accurate weather predictions to the world. Created by Google DeepMind & Google Research,
WeatherNext AI models are more efficient and produce more reliable forecasts than traditional physics-based weather models, helping authorities make better decisions, and improving disaster response, grid reliability, and global food security.

A new collaborative funding approach

Google.org's AI Collaboratives: Wildfires is a strategic initiative bringing together leading nonprofits, academic institutions, government agencies and companies to help people and communities better manage fires by using AI. To date, Google.org has contributed more than $27 million to the AI Collaborative: Wildfires.

Real time alerts and information

Google delivers critical information when it matters most — helping save lives, prevent injuries, and connect people to emergency services.

When wildfires are at risk of threat, SOS Alerts on Google Search help people find timely, trusted information — right from the palm of their hand.

Google Maps and Waze help people navigate safely during a crisis by showing prominent alerts for affected routes. Powered by real-time reports from the Waze community, both apps can find safer alternate routes away from the disrupted area.
